Rostrum Medical® to attend ESICM Lives 2020

Vancouver, BC Canada – December 1, 2020 – Rostrum Medical will attend the 33rd annual European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (“ESICM”) LIVES Digital congress. The digital congress will commence on December 6th and run through December 9th, 2020.  The ESICM has an outstanding program of exceptional science that is both interactive, innovative and informative, while connecting a multidisciplinary network of physicians, researchers, nurses, and allied health professionals across the globe.

Rostrum Medical’s abstract, entitled “Non-invasive monitoring of pulmonary blood flow and shunt fraction in a porcine model”  has been selected as part of the congress’ program.  The abstract presents data demonstrating that Pulmonary Blood Flow (“PBF”) and Rostrum’s Shunt Fraction Index can be measured non-invasively by Rostrum’s novel VQm Pulmonary Health Monitor™.

Dr. Maximilian Edliner-Stanger, Co-Author of the Rostrum abstract said “I have been working alongside the Rostrum team for a number of years on this exciting project, and I am looking forward to presenting the results of our hard work, unique experimental design and encouraging results at this years’ ECISM.”

Click here to access the Rostrum abstract, click on “e-Posters”, then select “05. Cardiovascular issues in ICU > 5.3 Cardiovascular monitoring”.  The abstract e-poster will be available for registered members online throughout the whole congress duration. Registered members will be able to submit questions regarding the e-poster via a chat, and have their questions answered by the author.
